Some of the questions we frequently get asked:

Is the Coop Easy to Assemble?

Yes, all of our chicken coops are easy to assemble and they come with detailed instructions. The chicken coops arrive flat packed in panels and simply need to be screwed together, ideally with a drill. We recommend that two people assemble them, as one can hold the panels while the other person secures the screws. If you run into any issues or need some guidance, we are always happy to help via call or a video call. The whole assembly should take no more than 20-30 minutes.

Is It Easy to Clean?

Yes, they are. Almost all of our chicken coops come with a pull out tray. This makes them easy to clean and saves you  from reaching inside the coop to sweep out the contents.

Does It Need to Be Varnished?

All our coops come pre treated, but keeping the damp Irish weather in mind, we recommend using an animal friendly varnish or paint to get that extra life from your coop. If you can, do so as soon as possible and before the first heavy rain. Pay special attention to the joints, as they can turn out to be the perfect sneaky spots for the damp to penetrate inside.

Do the Coops Come with a Warranty?

Yes, all of our hen coops come with a 12 month warranty to give you peace of mind. We have been selling chicken coops for over 13 years, so we’d like to think we know what we’re doing.

What is The Delivery Time?

The delivery usually takes 1-4 working days and the courier will text you on the morning of the delivery with a time frame for the delivery. If the time does not suit, you can rearrange it via a link on the message.

What Coop Size Do I Need?

The size of the chicken coop depends on the number of chickens you have. The most common rule is to provide at least two square feet per bird, but please keep in mind this includes also the vertical space of a chicken coop since chickens roost and prefer to perch. Coops are the best place for chickens to sleep and lay eggs, so you must ensure that they have nesting boxes (which all our coops have). One nesting box is recommended for up to five chickens.
